Mark P. Bergin

Managing Director, Business Development & Client Relations

Mark has over 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Nu Paradigm, Mark spent the past 22 years at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), managing several different business units within their Institutional Relationship Management Group and was instrumental in building the client service platform currently being utilized by SSgA. While there, Mark personally managed a wide array of institutional client relationships, both large and small, including Corporate, Public Funds, Taft-Hartley, and Endowments and Foundations. Under Mark’s leadership at SSgA, he and his teams implemented tailored solutions to improve client portfolios based on their specific goals and needs. In addition, Mark was responsible for managing and mentoring numerous colleagues to ensure their continued development as investment professionals to meet the evolving needs of their clients. Under Mark’s tutelage, many of those colleagues have been promoted throughout the investment management industry.

Before SSgA, Mark was an Institutional Trust Officer with Shawmut Bank & Trust Corporation, where he also helped found their suburban investment centers throughout Middlesex and Norfolk Counties. Prior to that, he served as a retail investment broker for both Dean, Witter Reynolds Inc., and E.F. Hutton Corporation.

Mark is an attorney and is both Series 7 & 63 registered. He received his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School, and his undergraduate B.A. degree from Georgetown University.
